Disco was a genre of dance music and a subculture that emerged in the 1970s.
The disco sound is typified by the standard four beat rhythms, syncopated bass lines, and other instruments such as strings, horns, electric piano, synthesizers, and electric guitars. The genre spawned such famous artists as Donna Summer, Gloria Gaynor, the Bee Gees, Chic, KC and the Sunshine Band, Village People, Abba, and so many more.
The music and the style was further enhanced at the time by popular films such as Saturday Night Fever (1977) and Thank God It’s Friday (1978).
Saturday Night Fever, A Tribute to Saturday Night Fever and the music of the Disco Era, is an electric showcase of songs that made us dance, where white suits, and boogie down.
